Does the stem bend?

No, the 1/2" thick stem is a rigid, heavy-duty pole designed to keep the jumbo flower head perfectly upright and stable. However, the green leaves attached to the stem are flexible and can be shaped to give the flower a more natural look.

How does the flower head attach, and can it sit on flat surfaces?

The top of the stem features a built-in screw mechanism. To use the head on its own, simply unscrew it. The bottom of the peony head features a flat washer that keeps it sitting perfectly upright on tables, and this flat surface makes it easy to mount directly to walls, backdrops, or ceilings.

Does this product include a stand?
