With a full ball or a half ball, make sure the opening of the vase or urn is somewhat smaller than 8" so your display looks full and thriving! The leaves are attached to a network of plastic squares spaced far enough apart so that another use is to mount the ball on a large dowel or stem. Useful Tip: We found it a little challenging to snap the 2 halves together so we simply wire tied them!
