The Primetime Emmys Governor's Ball!
How Our Diamond Crystal Bead Décor Transformed the Governor’s Ball

If you ever helped transform your high school gym into “Aladdin’s Lamp” or “Paris in Springtime,” then you know what it takes to turn a blank space into something magical. Now, picture that gym without the bleachers and multiply it by about 800% (unless you grew up in Texas). That’s the scale of the raw spaces where Hollywood hosts its most glamorous parties. Don’t get us wrong—these venues are incredible. They’re purpose-built, massive blank canvases waiting for the world’s best event designers to unleash their creativity, night after night. But all that wide-open space can either be your greatest asset—or your biggest headache—depending on how you use what’s overhead.
Having spent our fair share of high school dances cutting paper snowflakes to hide the scoreboard, we have to laugh when we see shots like this one from the Primetime Emmys Governor’s Ball. For a split second, we half expect to see our old mascot on the wall before realizing—wow—our décor has seriously grown up, and it’s in Hollywood.
We were thrilled to see our Diamond Crystal Bead Columns and Curtains used by Dwight Jackson of Sequoia Productions to bring his incredible vision for this celebration to life. Hundreds of designers put in countless hours to create this dreamscape, and our Diamond Crystal Columns played a major role in setting the scene. Even more stunning: our Diamond Crystal Bead Strands were used to create a massive chandelier right in the center of the room.
The designers’ creativity, paired with lighting that turned clear beads into a rainbow of color, made for an unforgettable spectacle. It’s always a little surreal to see décor we packaged and shipped with care become part of such a breathtaking Hollywood production. And we’re deeply grateful that the industry continues to trust ShopWildThings to deliver—on time, every time.
Our heartfelt thanks go out to Dwight Jackson, Sequoia Productions, and The Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Governor’s Ball for letting us contribute to such a spectacular event.
