The beads sparkle nicely but really come alive at night when the lights/tv flicker off them. The curtain is visible from two sides as the wall cutout is between my living room and hallway. From the hallway, they don't obstruct the view at all. From the living room they sparkle nicely. I like them so much that I'm considering ordering the real crystal curtain for a different area.
